How do I get involved with MCCFP?

Nomination forms are sent out to each community college president in the mid-south region of the United States calling for them to nominate their employees to participate in the program. If you are interested in attending, please indicate to your community college president your desire to participate. Once nomination forms are received, participants will receive email correspondence regarding MCCFP and will be mailed a packet containing all instructional materials, lodging information, maps, an agenda, and detailed instructions for assignments that are due.

How will my organization or institution benefit from my participation in MCCFP?

Both you and your organization or institution benefit from the experience you will receive through comprehensive and rigorous seminars, conferences, and activities that include enhancement in your knowledge of economic and community development, leadership development, planning skills, professional networking, teambuilding, regional programming, and exposure to state, regional, and national community college leaders. If you choose, you can earn three hours of graduate credit. All programming is designed so that you, as an employee, can take what you have learned and directly apply it to your present position in order to improve productivity, peer relations, communication, and efficiency.

What is my employer’s commitment in supporting my participation in MCCFP?

Your employer will have to submit the nomination form with your contact information to the MCCFP coordinators, pay a tuition fee of $700 for in-state participants or $1,100 for out-of-state participants. In addition, your employer will have to provide release time for your participation in activities around the state.
